A Milford-based organization dedicated to helping Delawareans in need recently took the time to thank the people responsible for providing that assistance. People's Place held their annual breakfast and awards ceremony at the Milford Senior Center recently.

Five state legislators joined the event and presented a tribute marking the organization's 40th anniversary. The multi-service nonprofit was formed in 1972 as a volunteer operated drop-in center aiding area youths. Today, People's Place operates 11 programs - including counseling centers, shelters, and outreach programs - throughout the state, serving 9,000 Delawareans annually.
